Conveyor (Transfer) Belt Systems

Bozdağ Concrete Plants design high-performance feeding belt systems to ensure material flow in the most efficient way. In a concrete plant, the transfer of aggregates from the bunkers to the mixer or the pre-loading bunker takes place quickly, safely, and efficiently through the feeding belt.

Feeding belts automate material transportation during the production process, preventing time loss, reducing labor requirements, and ensuring production continuity. In plants with limited space, these systems can work in integration with alternative transport methods (bucket or elevator systems).

Conveyor (Transfer) Belt Systems

Conveyor – transfer belt systems facilitate the transfer of aggregates from the bunkers to the mixer or the pre-loading bunker in a concrete plant. The chassis structure is made of durable steel profiles and reinforced with special supports to resist vibration.

The rubber belt, placed on the carrying rollers, moves via a rubber-coated drive drum. In cases of high belt inclination, a chevron-patterned (lades-pattern) belt is preferred to prevent the material from sliding backward. This ensures safe transport and minimizes material loss.

Key Advantages:

  • Strong and long-lasting steel chassis structure

  • Wear-resistant rubber belt system

  • Anti-slip patterned belt for high-incline lines

  • Quiet and low-vibration operation

  • Easy maintenance and service access

Pre-Feeding (Traveling Belt) Systems

In plants where bunkers cannot be directly filled by trucks or loaders, the pre-feeding (traveling belt) system comes into play. This system makes material loading practical, especially in areas with limited space.

First, the material (aggregate) is taken into the truck unloading bunker with a capacity of approximately 14–15 m³. It is then transferred to the traveling belt via the rear feeding belt. The traveling belt automatically unloads the appropriate material into each aggregate compartment.

Minimum–maximum level indicators on the bunker monitor the fill level of each compartment, ensuring safe and balanced system operation.

Key Advantages:

  • Effective solution for plants with space limitations

  • Automatic loading and material distribution

  • Smart control with level sensors

  • Quick installation and easy integration

Maintenance and Service

Regular maintenance is essential for the long-lasting and safe operation of feeding belts.

  • Rollers and belt surfaces should be cleaned periodically.

  • Drive drums and motor systems must be inspected regularly.

  • Tension settings should be checked to prevent interruptions in material transport.
